“Beauty or the Beast” Contest

Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR DONATION NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
A purchase or donation will not increase chances of winning.

1. Sponsor

The “Beauty or the Beast” Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by Iowa Catholic Radio, Des Moines, Iowa (“Sponsor”).

2. Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of the United States who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.

Employees, volunteers, board members of Iowa Catholic Radio, and members of their immediate families (spouse, parents, children, siblings) or persons living in the same household are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law.

3. Contest Period

The Contest begins February 13, 2026 and ends March 27, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time (“Contest Period”). Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device.

4. How to Enter

To enter, participants must complete the official online registration form available at:

www.iowacatholicradio.com

Limit one (1) entry per person for the duration of the Contest. Duplicate, incomplete, automated, or fraudulent entries will be disqualified.

All eligible entries received during the Contest Period will remain eligible for all subsequent drawings unless selected as a winner.

5. Prizes

A total of ten (10) winners will be selected.

At each drawing:

  • One (1) winner will receive:

    • Two (2) tickets to an Iowa Wild Hockey game, plus

    • One (1) $50 restaurant gift card

  • One (1) winner will receive:

    • Two (2) tickets to a Des Moines Symphony performance, plus

    • One (1) $50 restaurant gift card

Winners will select from available event dates as determined by Sponsor and subject to availability. Blackout dates may apply.

Restaurant gift card selection (Jethro’s BBQ or Splash Seafood Bar & Grill) is subject to availability and determined by Sponsor.

Travel, lodging, transportation, parking, meals (other than the gift card), and all other expenses not expressly stated as part of the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Prizes are non-transferable, may not be substituted, and may not be redeemed for cash. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary.

Approximate Retail Value (ARV):

  • Iowa Wild prize package: $135

  • Des Moines Symphony prize package: $275

Actual value may vary depending on ticket availability.

6. Winner Selection and Drawing Dates

Winners will be selected in random drawings from all eligible entries received prior to each drawing date.

Drawings will take place on or about:

  • March 2, 2026

  • March 9, 2026

  • March 16, 2026

  • March 23, 2026

  • March 30, 2026

At each drawing, one (1) Iowa Wild winner and one (1) Des Moines Symphony winner will be selected, for a total of ten (10) winners.

Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

7. Winner Notification and Forfeiture

Winners will be notified by phone and/or email using the contact information provided at entry.

Winners must respond within five (5) days of initial notification. Failure to respond within that timeframe will result in forfeiture of the prize, and an alternate winner may be selected.

Winners may be required to complete and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, and publicity release where permitted by law.

8. Publicity

Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsor to use the winner’s name, likeness, and city/state of residence for promotional purposes without additional compensation.

9. Limitation of Liability

Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, or illegible entries, or for technical malfunctions of any kind.

By participating, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Sponsor and its employees, volunteers, and representatives from any liability arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance or use of any prize.

10. General Conditions

Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failure, or any other factor impairs the integrity of the Contest.

This Contest is conducted in compliance with Federal Communications Commission regulations governing noncommercial educational broadcast stations.
