Fr. Bruce Riebe [REE-Be] is a priest of the Byzantine Catholic Eparchy (Diocese) of Parma (OH), which consists of 12 midwestern states, including Iowa. Representing one of 23 Eastern Catholic Churches in full communion with the pope of Rome, Fr. Riebe was recently assigned to establish a Byzantine Catholic outreach in the state of Iowa. He will be speaking on Eastern Catholic spirituality, highlighting in particular how Pascha (Easter) is celebrated in the Byzantine rite’s liturgical family of Churches.
